He first created his program Selling Through Service in 1992 to help others in business-to-business selling. Recognizing that repeat selling also involved superior customer service skills he created his next program How to Create the Perfect Customer. In 1993 he joined the National Speakers Association and was encouraged to write a book on his passion of helping others succeed in whatever field they were in. This led to his first book How to Control Your Destiny published by Kendall/Hunt Publishing. For several years business novels such as The Goal, The Quadrant Solution, Zapp, Walk the Talk, and Who Moved my Cheese had inspired Terry. Story telling seemed to be an excellent way to get business ideas and stories across. Not finding one on Customer Service he decided to write The Customer Connection. Today Terry divides his time between being a Vice President of Sales for a packaging distributor/manufacturer and his speaking career. More and more of his time is being spent writing and speaking. Terry lives in Southern California with his lovely wife, Stacey. Their oldest daughter is a teacher at a private school while their other daughter is pursuing a degree in law. When asked who his greatest influences
are outside of his family he answered, Walt Disney because of the
happiness he created for so many people; Helen Keller because she achieved
greatness in spite of incredible obstacles; and Thomas Jefferson because
of his endless pursuit of excellence in so many areas and his unselfish
giving of his time, talents, energy and life. |
